Participating in Winter: Take 1 - Rattlesnake Point

You could hardly call yesterday winter, but it was, and therefore I will include yesterdays hike as my first attempt at participating in this season.  I am Canadian and winter takes up quite a lot of my life and instead of being bitter and depressed about it while shivering angrily, this year I vow to participate and enjoy!

Yesterday James and I tagged along with a couple girlfriends to Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area in Milton. We got a bright and early start on the day, packed some lunch, and headed out of the city.  It was unseasonably warm out and the views were breathtaking.  We hiked for a good 4 hours before heading back and I can't tell you how good I feel to have had a great workout in the January sun.

God I love the woods!  Next winter activity - skating... : )

If you're 'participating' in winter this year...I would love to hear how, I need inspiration!

Thanks for reading...

Love Desiree
